Disciplinary Measures

We believe that the best kind of discipline is self-discipline, one that comes from within rather than that which is imposed. We believe that discipline is best when it is preventative rather than punitive. In working with children, the staff will use those means that will promote and build good attitudes and respect for others.

  • Pupils must attend assembly which begins at 7.45 a.m. Those who come after 7.45 a.m. must report with valid reason for their being late to the Discipline-in-charge before they go to their classes.
  • Strive to be present every school day. In case of absence, parents should call the school in the morning of the absence and notify the teacher in writing upon the student’s return to school.
  • Respect each other at all times. Disagreements will be settled by discussing the problem and seeking a solution that is fair to all concerned.
  • Buildings and the campus must be kept clean and neat. Do not deface or damage school property. Students who vandalize the school property will make restitution.
  • Students are on their way to and from school are expected to report themselves in a responsible manner.
  • All students must converse in English while in school and when wearing school uniform even outside the school – premises. Students who converse in other than English language are liable to be punished.
  • Remain within school boundaries at all times. Students leaving the campus must have a Student Pass and must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. (Leaving campus without consent is a Class C offense, prohibited by DOE Rules).
  • Students are strictly forbidden to leave the school premises during regular School hours without the permission of the Principal / Leave-in-Charge.
  • Special attention must be adhered to maintain a high standard of morality and discipline in the school. Parents are requested to cooperate with the school authorities in this regard.
  • Students must observe absolute silence and discipline while in class room and in the school Library.
  • When regular period is over for the day students must come out from the class rooms in line and chaos must be avoided. They must ensure that the fans and lights are switched off and doors and windows of the classrooms are closed.
  • Avoid using abusive or profane language and gestures. (Disorderly Conduct, a Class B offense)
  • Do not climb trees, gates, railings, fences, and the school buildings.
  • Respect the property rights of others.
  • Leave the premises immediately after school duties/responsibilities are completed.
  • Buying/selling of personal items and trading are not allowed.
  • Late arrival to school is a breach of discipline. A student who comes late to school must enter the date and time of arrival into the record of late arrival in school under ‘late’.
  • Three late arrivals will result in Parents being called to office of Principal. Five late arrivals will invoke suspension from the school.
